On May 22, students from Sipekne’katik who attend LSK and HERH spent the day bass fishing as part of the LSK land-based learning program. This event takes place every year and it is always one of the school's favourite events. This year was the first time that HERH students were able to come out and spend the day on the river. Some MK staff members came out to spend time with the students and helped with the barbecue.
All students who participate are entered into a draw for a chance to win some great door prizes. They also have a competition for catching the biggest fish. This year, Lathias Howe won the prize for the biggest fish. It was a beautiful day out on the river!
