Jasmine Collins has recently been hired with Mi’kmaw Kina’matnewey as one of two Sport for Social Development Coordinators. Jasmine comes to us from Glooscap First Nation as a recent graduate of Acadia University, Bachelor of Community Development degree.
Jasmine’s role with Mi’kmaw Kina’matnewey is the further development of healthy behaviours which includes sport, recreation and physical activity opportunities. As the Sport for Social development coordinator, she will work towards facilitating and creating opportunities for youth and to deliver the Multi-Sport Leadership Program.
Outside of Mi’kmaw Kina’matnewey, Jasmine enjoys spending time with the love of her life, Jordan while soaking up natures’ beauty by hiking and spending time outside. She also dedicates herself to learning the Mi’kmaw language.
