James Young joins the Mi’kmaw Kina’matnewey/Atlantic First Nation Tech Services team after working nearly ten years at Wagmatcookewey School. Prior to joining Wagmatcookewey School, James worked under contract for the Canadian Armed Forces as an Instructional Systems Designer specializing in designing online courseware.

James holds a Bachelor of Arts from St. Mary’s University, a Bachelor of Education from St. Thomas University, a certificate in Autism Intervention from the University of New Brunswick, and a Master of Education in Educational Technology from Memorial University. He is also a Breathing Space certified yoga teacher and has completed his Apple Teacher certification as well as Google Certified Educator (Level 1 & 2).

Committed to lifelong learning, James embraces every opportunity to grow and expand his knowledge. In his spare time, you can find him outdoors or spending quality time with his family.
