The community of Lsitkuk held a language planning session on Monday February 26th. This was the first of several sessions in which community members are invited to come out and talk about their language planning goals for their community. The intent of these sessions is to help develop a plan that takes the community from where they are in their current language state, to where they would like to be. The sessions will help the community assess their strengths and needs in order to meet their short and long term goals.
The next session will be held on April 8 & 9 and will be a 2 day event so that people have the opportunity to come out on either day. More information on the location and time will be shared in April.
