School-Based Art Therapy
Students at Maupeltuewey Kina'matno'kuom have an exciting new program that will be offered over the next few months. The therapeutic art group began on Thursday, November 18th and will continue through February.
This group will provide students with an opportunity to express themselves, process their emotions, enhance self awareness and build emotional resilience. The group will collaboratively imagine, plan and create large murals in their school exploring the seven sacred teachings. This SchoolsPlus program is led by Ryan Robison. This therapeutic art project will be offered for students in grades 5,6,7 & 8.
