The community of Bear River held their annual Harvest Gathering from October 15-19. They offered numerous activities throughout the week such as wood carving, archery, axe throwing, bingo, a canoe launch and many many more.
The meal preparation and activities take place in their cookhouse, which is a beautiful gathering space with plenty of seating and space to prepare and serve meals. The outdoor activities took place in the area around the cookhouse where the children were able to run and explore as well. A sacred fire was also set up in the teepee near the cookhouse and was the perfect place to sit and relax.
The weather was fantastic for the event and everyone was well fed all week!
