The newly selected coaches gathered in Halifax on March 4th - 6th for a meet and great and to learn about the expectations and responsibilities of being a member of the coaching staff of Team Mi'kmaw NS.
The event involved a meet and greet, introductions to the policies and procedures of Team Mi'kmaw NS, partnerships and programs that are available through Canadian Sport Centre Atlantic and Sport NS, and some sessions on nutrition and coaching support. The coaches were also introduced to the new website which will be used as a communication tool for coaches to share information with athletes and parents leading up to and during the games.
Team Mi’kmaw Nova Scotia is also pleased to introduce the following Head Coaches for the 2023North American Indigenous Games.
