We held the Honouring our Future Leaders Conference this month in Dartmouth. Over 70 students registered to attend the 2 day conference which offered a variety of educational and cultural sessions to students in grades 11 and 12.
Some of the sessions on the agenda included Waltes, Kojua, Jikmaqn making, quill work, Two-Eyed seeing, Treaty Education and so much more.
They were able to visit booths from most of the Post-Secondary institutions in the province, along with some organizations who offer direct-entry career opportunities. They also had a chance to tour 4 locations in the HRM to see the schools first hand.
The students were so respectful and engaged as they explored options available for them in the coming years as they continue their educational journey. We know that the future is so bright and we can't wait to see the impact these future leaders will have on the world!
