On March 18 and 19th, Michael R Denny, our Red Road Project coordinator partnered with Kate Jadis, Eskasoni Elementary and Middle School On The Land Education Coordinator to host "Boys with Braids".
#BoysWithBraids is a movement to celebrate cultural identity, strength, and sacredness of hair to our boys and young L'nu men. The mentors who spoke to the students about their journeys of long hair and to share their teachings were Peter Doucette, Noel Julian Jr (Juni), Ryan Toney Jr, and Michael R. Denny.
The students were very respectful and engaged and it was a great learning opportunity for all students.
