ANTEC was held this year for the first time since 2018 and it was amazing! The event was held from May 17th -19th in the community of Eskasoni, who were such gracious hosts for over 700 people.
The event was coordinated by the Mi'kmaw Circle of Hope Society, who did a fantastic job of organizing everything from the presenters to the keynote speaker, the catering and entertainment and everything else that makes a conference go smoothly.
Conferences such as this cannot happen without a whole lot of work behind the scenes so we are sending a huge thanks to all those who helped out. We had a group of students from ABMHS who were willing to do everything we needed them to do. We also had a large group of volunteers who provided so much support and we appreciated the help so much. Our caterer Mona Morris did a fantastic job taking on the task of feeding almost 800 people in record time. And last but not least, Liz Cremo and all of the Eskasoni school board and staff who opened their schools, classrooms and gymnasiums to host this conference are so greatly appreciated.
The next ANTEC conference will be held in Elsipogtog in 2024 and we are looking forward to it!
