Every year on Treaty Day, we recognize our Donald Marshall Memorial Scholarship and Sister Dorothy Moore Educational Scholarship award recipients at a ceremony in Halifax.
The Donald Marshall Sr. Memorial Scholarship supports Mi'kmaw post-secondary students at the diploma, certificate, bachelor, and graduate levels.
This year's recipients of the Donald Marshall Sr. Memorial Scholarship are:

Janelle Gehue - Sipekne'katik
The Sister Dorothy Moore Scholarship was established in 2012 in honour and recognition of Sister Dorothy Moore's invaluable contribution in the advancement of the Mi'kmaq education system. This scholarship celebrates and supports Mi'kmaq students studying full time in a recognized teacher certification/education program.
The recipients for the 2021 Sister Dorothy Moore Educational Scholarship are:
