Students in We’koqma’q celebrated the end of the school year by honouring all Residential School survivors and those who didn’t make it home. Tiny Cremo & Phyllis Googoo began the day with the 7 Direction Prayer & Smudging. This was followed by the Honor Song & Singing ‘Forgiveness’. After the gathering there was rock painting & pizza for all who attended.
Graduations are always a special event in We’koqma’q. They make sure all grads are celebrated for all their accomplishments and even though Covid made those celebrations a little different again this year, they were just as special!
