MK’s Post-Secondary Consultant, Ann Sylliboy, successfully submitted a proposal to the Maritimes and Northeast Pipeline Fund (M&NP) and received $5,000 in funding.
The funding was used to support a High School Student Career Mapping Initiative pilot project in We’koqma’q and Annapolis Valley. Funding also supported a “Parents as Career Coaches” session in We’koqma’q, and meals and prizes at the Careers Nova Scotia book launch in Annapolis Valley.
Plans are underway to host a “Parents as Career Coaches” session in Annapolis Valley in the Spring. The remaining Career Nova Scotia books will be distributed to school support staff in all communities.
