We are a unified team of chiefs, staff, parents and educators who advocate for and represent the educational interests of our Mi'kmaq communities. We also protect the Educational & Mi’kmaw Language Rights of the Mi’kmaq people.
At our core: We exist to serve and support our communities in whatever way we can - supporting Mi'kmaq learning, creating unique & helpful resources for our schools and communities, and hosting events that help the growth of our people!
We support Mi'kmaq schools & other educational platforms throughout Nova Scotia, assisting with professional development, Mi'kmaq specific learning techniques, and much more!
We love creating resources that help support learning, growth, and language development in our communities. Check out our resources section to learn more!
Whether it's summers language camps, sciences fairs, art contests, or anything else in between - our events are a staple of the work done here at MK! Check out our event calendar for up to date info!
